Dear Cliff Pettit Fellows & Friends of the Foundation:

As you may recall, Scott Kahle, the President of our Foundation, informed the attendees at the Businessmen's Lunch in Philadelphia last October that - in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Gamma Mu social organization - the Foundation had launched a fundraising campaign entitled "50/50/50".
"50/50/50" signifies that, for the 50th anniversary of Gamma Mu, the Foundation sought $50,000 in ten pledges of $5,000 each.  Attendees at the upcoming Washington DC fly-in would then be challenged to match or exceed the $50,000 already raised.
Thirteen very generous individuals stepped up and have donated $65,000 towards the challenge.  The next step in the fundraising challenge is to raise the additional $50,000 no later than May 28, 2017.  As a result, the Board of Directors wants to ensure that you are well informed about this fundraising effort in advance and to encourage you to contribute to this wonderful Foundation.  Your support ensures ongoing financial support to the LGBT communities in rural and underserved areas of the United States.
No donation to the Foundation is too small.  If you elect to donate, whether by mail or through the Foundation's website, please make sure you designate your donation as towards the "50/50/50" challenge.
Since its inception since 1988, the Foundation has awarded over $2.6 million in grants and scholarships.  These awards were funded 100% by private donations with no support from corporate sponsors.  As a result, your donation is crucial to the work of the Foundation and - as it is an all-volunteer organization - almost all of your contribution goes directly to the LGBT community.  Thank you in advance for your kind generosity,
