Legacy Society

What Is The John S. Chapman Legacy Society?

To enhance the Gamma Mu Foundation’s Planned Giving Program, the Board of Directors established the John S. Chapman Legacy Society. This society honors and recognizes donors, both current and deceased, who have included the Gamma Mu Foundation in their estate plans, ensuring their legacy supports our mission and the LGBTQ+ community for years to come.

Why Planned Giving Matters
Annual donations are vital to our ongoing efforts, but the long-term success and sustainability of the Gamma Mu Foundation are greatly enhanced by bequests and planned gifts. These contributions allow us to grow the
Gamma Mu Foundation Perpetual Fund, providing a stable financial foundation for the future.

Like many charitable organizations, we face a growing demand for support. Each year, our grants and scholarships committees receive requests that far exceed the available funds. Bequests from donors who share our vision are crucial in helping us meet these needs and expand our impact.
